The practice story

Every thread carries a story

Weave began with a simple idea: psychiatric care can hold biology, patterns, relationships, and meaning in the same conversation.

It is a deliberately small practice led by a consultant psychiatrist, with digital, educational, and supervised resident work held in clear roles.

The hand-drawn Weave logomark made from crossing threads
Two hand-drawn threads becoming one woven square

Two threads, one cloth

What Weave means

One thread is clinical: careful assessment, medication when useful, and attention to the body and brain.

The other is personal: your history, relationships, values, and the patterns that helped you survive.

Neither thread is the whole cloth. Care becomes more useful when both can be seen, explained, and held together.

The clinical team

Clear roles, shared responsibility

We are a consultant psychiatrist and a supervised psychiatry resident, not two independent psychiatrists.

Consultant and clinical lead

Dr. Niharika Reddy

Consultant Psychiatrist, co-founder and clinical lead

Relationships, women's mental health, children, and families.

Braid gathering several fine strands

Niharika's training brought academic rigour and close attention to the consulting room.

Residency shifted her focus from performing well on paper to understanding what careful care asks of a clinician.

She connects especially with women carrying difficult relationships and life transitions, and with families trying to make room for more than one person's needs.

Her work brings together psychiatric assessment, relationship and family care, and an interest in neuromodulation. The aim is not to use every available option. It is to discuss the options that may fit, with their limits made clear.

Supervised resident role

Dr. Wilfred D'souza

psychiatry resident, digital and educational lead, working under Dr. Niharika Reddy's supervision

Attention, personality patterns, addiction, and mood.

Tangled thread becoming a clean woven line

Wilfred grew up in Ajara, Maharashtra.

His own experience of attention difficulties, being labelled lazy, and later struggling with mood, relationships, and addiction made psychiatry personal before it became professional.

During residency, research and clinical training gave those experiences a clearer frame. They also showed him how easily people fall through gaps when care is rushed or poorly explained.

That history informs his work in education, digital support, and supervised care. It does not replace training or oversight. His role remains explicitly supervised by the practice's consultant psychiatrist.

Aporia

Clinical reasoning, in public

Clinical honesty includes showing how questions are approached, where evidence is strong, and where uncertainty remains. Aporia is our public writing for clinicians and students, with reasoning made visible rather than dressed up as certainty.

Care held in daylight

We aim for careful, current work without claiming that one practice has every answer.

Consultant leadership

Clinical decisions and supervised resident work sit under Dr. Niharika Reddy's leadership.

Reasoning explained

We explain why an option is being considered, what the trade-offs are, and what alternatives exist.

Plans reviewed

Care can change when new information appears or when an option does not fit.
